Every product we create is built around a pillar of sustainability. Haeckels Lab is designed to harness the power of lab-grown ingredients and in-house biotech to vastly reduce the carbon emissions created in harvesting and manufacturing products using natural ingredients. 

Natural ingredients are resource intensive, from the land required to grow the ingredients to the carbon emissions created in harvesting, transporting and manufacturing them.

In-House Biotech:

Materials are a huge focus of our business, and we’re delighted to be delivering Haeckels Lab powered by Spiraglow.

Spiraglow is an in-house designed biofabricated algae. Spiraglow has been bioengineered by us to hydrate, calm and moisturise the skin, to promote a healthy microbiome through pH maintenance.

We grow spiraglow in lab conditions in custom bioreactors to enhance the bioavailability of the algae; this means we can achieve a more consistent and pure harvest, reaping the benefits for the skin.

We have utilised this game-changing ingredient in three performance-backed skincare products certified as kind to biome. This means that these three products promote the proliferation of good bacteria on your skin, helping to maintain a healthy pH environment; ultimately, this helps to reduce breakouts, redness and dryness because the skin barrier is more effective at combatting any harmful bacteria that it’s exposed to.

The Products:

Haeckels Lab has been designed as a long-term system to maintain skin pH by feeding healthy skin bacteria and supporting your natural microbiome. This new way of designing ingredients has allowed us to create a system that has proven skin hydrating, firming, lifting and plumping effects.
