Unfortunately we will not be able to proceed with your treatment if you are currently experiencing any of the following conditions:

Contagious skin disorders, contagious illnesses such as flu or covid 19, some allergies especially to seaweed (please note we use ground walnut shell in many of our treatments so there may be trace elements of walnut shell in our treatment rooms despite thorough cleaning), pregnancy (unless booking a specific pregnancy treatment), if you have recently broken any bones, recently undergone surgery, suffered a recent hemorrhage, thrombosis, stroke, or heart attack. We strongly recommend you contact your GP or consultant prior to coming for a treatment if you suffer from epilepsy, diabetes, heart conditions, kidney conditions, liver conditions or are undergoing treatment for cancer. This list is not exhaustive so if you are unsure about any other condition please feel free to get in touch before your treatment to discuss your needs.

Unfortunately, not all of our treatments are suitable for pregnancy. Therefore, we have created our Pregnancy Massage and Pregnancy Facial. Please do not book any treatment apart from these if you are pregnant. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us and please note we can only provide these treatments once you are past the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.

The following are specific contraindications for high-frequency treatments: epilepsy, pregnancy, heart conditions, pacemakers, internal metal plates or pins, having more than five metal dental fillings or bridgework, cancer within the past two years, thrombosis, diabetes, recent Botox (a minimum two-week wait is required) or fillers (a minimum four-week wait is required), any condition that results in a loss of facial sensation, migraines, and the use of the medication roaccutane. Please refrain from using any active skincare ingredients like retinol or acids for 24 hours before your appointment, and be aware that all jewellery must be removed prior to the treatment.

The following are specific contraindications for LED treatments: pregnancy, epilepsy, photosensitive ocular conditions, active cancer within the past two years, photosensitive skin conditions, albinism, lupus, and medications that increase light sensitivity, such as roaccutane, antibiotics, and steroids. They also include individuals who experience light-induced headaches, those with claustrophobia, or anyone who has received Botox within the last two weeks or fillers within the last four weeks before a facial appointment. Please discontinue the use of retinol, roaccutane, or acids 24 hours before the appointment.
